About Good Life Therapy
Built from the inside out.
Good Life Therapy was founded by Devon McGahey, an American psychotherapist, business owner, and entrepreneur with a passion for helping people access the right support at the right time.
The Story Behind Good Life Therapy
Long before qualifying as a therapist, Devon spent years working in business, marketing, and client-focused roles. Throughout her career, she became fascinated by the relationship between people, services, and community—what helps people feel understood, supported, and genuinely cared for.
While working within a large group therapy practice in the United States, she saw firsthand how powerful therapy could be when it was surrounded by a genuine sense of community.
"Clients weren’t left searching through endless directories or trying to work out who was qualified to help. There was a team. A process. A feeling that someone would guide them to the right support."
It wasn’t just therapy itself that stood out. It was the experience of being cared for from the very first phone call. Clients felt welcomed into an environment where experienced professionals worked together, connections happened naturally, and finding the right support felt simple.
Years later, after moving to England and establishing her own private practice, Devon noticed a very different experience.
"So many people seeking therapy felt overwhelmed before therapy had even begun. Finding the right therapist often meant navigating countless online profiles, unfamiliar qualifications, unanswered enquiries, and the pressure of making an important decision alone."
As both a psychotherapist and business owner, she found herself asking a simple question: why does finding help have to be so difficult?
At the same time, she noticed that many therapists were facing challenges of their own. Talented practitioners were working in isolation. They loved their work, but missed having colleagues nearby, opportunities for collaboration, and the sense of belonging that comes from being part of a professional community.
Good Life Therapy was created to solve both problems.
The vision was never simply to create another therapy practice or rent out a collection of rooms. It was to build a trusted, welcoming space where clients could access high-quality support with confidence, and where practitioners could thrive as part of a collaborative and supportive professional community.

Not a directory. Not just rooms for rent.
Today, Good Life Therapy brings together experienced therapists and wellbeing practitioners under one roof, creating a place that feels both professional and personal. A place where finding support feels less overwhelming, where practitioners genuinely know and support one another, and where the focus remains on helping people live healthier, happier, and more connected lives.
Because therapy works best when nobody has to navigate it alone.
Alongside running Good Life Therapy, Devon works with couples and consults with other practitioners. You can find her profile in the directory.
