She/her

You were never meant to do this alone. Working together will change your life — and I'll be here with you through all of it.

WHO I help

For people who've spent a lifetime trying to prove themselves to others — and lost themselves in the process.

Lara works with adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or deeply uncertain of themselves. Many have spent years — sometimes their whole lives — trying to please others, prove their worth, or keep everything together for everyone around them.

On the outside they may appear strong, confident, even capable. On the inside, they feel small, vulnerable, and like they're failing — no matter what they achieve. Or they feel shy and self-doubting, with a part of themselves that desperately wants to step forward but doesn't yet trust it.

The exhaustion is real. Physically, emotionally, in their relationships, their work, the things they used to enjoy. They carry it in their body — tension, headaches, panic, a persistent low hum of anxiety.

So many of my clients have been trying to be strong for so long. Coming to therapy is often the first time they've been allowed to not be.

how i work

Deep compassion, real safety, and space to finally heal.

Lara brings complete compassion and understanding into every session. She creates genuine safety — a space where clients can bring their most vulnerable parts, explore their unmet needs, and begin to grow.

She draws on person-centred, integrative, and somatic approaches, working with the nervous system to help clients feel more grounded and regulated. Sessions are tailored to each individual — the work looks different for everyone.

Clients often feel better from the very first session. Having a safe space, being truly heard, and realising they're not alone has a profound effect. Over time, they begin to find themselves again — and start living more fully as who they actually are.

With the right conditions, we can truly find ourselves — and reignite hope for a life that feels more like ours.

It's nice to meet you!

Former police officer. Probably funnier than you'd expect.

Lara's path to counselling came through hitting rock bottom — losing hope, feeling mentally and physically exhausted, and not seeing a way forward. Her therapist changed all of that. She's been paying that forward ever since.

She grew up in an armed forces family and spent years in the police service — appearing confident and capable while quietly managing imposter syndrome and unmet emotional needs she didn't yet have words for. That history is now the foundation of her empathy.

Outside of work she walks on the moors and in forests, swims in the sea, and watches birds. Her best friend says she's a bit mad and should be a comedian. She is also, genuinely, very bad at maths.
