She/her

It's not your fault. There is nothing wrong with you. It's the way you've been managing your feelings that isn't working — and that can change.

WHO I help

For people who've been battling their own anxiety for years — and are exhausted by it.

Nadia specialises in long-term anxiety: the kind that shows up as panic, dread, OCD, social anxiety, generalised worry, or a constant low-level fear that something is wrong. Her clients have often been managing this alone for a very long time.

Many feel ashamed of it. They feel different, broken, or less capable than everyone else — even though no one around them would see it that way. They might put on a functioning face, carry on, and quietly suffer in a way that no one fully understands.

Nadia knows this terrain from the inside. She has lived with anxiety, panic, OCD, and low confidence for over 50 years. That experience is not incidental to her work — it is the heart of it.

No one can understand how distressing and debilitating anxiety feels on the inside. But I can — because I've lived it.

how i work

Real, warm, grounded — and deeply human.

Working with Nadia feels warm, genuine, and calm. She brings herself fully into the room — not performing a therapist role, but connecting as a real human being who cares about the person in front of her.

She draws on integrative, CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and Compassion Focused Therapy approaches, helping clients understand how their threat system works, why they feel the way they do, and how to begin relating to themselves differently.

Knowledge matters here. Understanding why your brain fires off danger signals the way it does — and that this is not a character flaw — is often one of the most relieving things clients experience. From that foundation, real change becomes possible.

When we become aware of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, we gain the power to choose. Awareness is the foundation of everything.

It's nice to meet you!

Barefoot in the garden at 6am. Childishly fun. Terrible at quizzes.

Nadia enrolled as a counsellor at 58 — in what she describes as an existential moment, and a challenge she set herself. She'd been reading self-help and psychology books her whole life. Training felt like the natural next step.

She restores herself by gardening with her hands in the soil, walking her two golden retrievers in the woods in the rain, doing yoga, planting seeds and watching them grow, and standing barefoot in her garden at 6am listening to birdsong.

Her friends would say she loves to have fun and can be quite childish — which she doesn't dispute. She is terrible at maths, quizzes, any kind of sport, throwing or hitting a ball, and singing. She has made peace with all of it.
