She/her
“I focus on gentle fascia massage to help manage pain, improve sleep and ease the physical signs of anxiety.”
WHO I help
For people whose bodies rarely seem to fully switch off.
Nicola works with adults living with chronic pain, persistent aching and bodies that can feel tense even when they're trying to rest. Some are exhausted but still struggle to sleep. Others are dealing with reduced mobility, fibromyalgia or hypermobility, or simply the relentless physical drain of being uncomfortable much of the time.
She also works with neurodivergent people who may spend a lot of their day masking or feeling anxious. That strain can show up physically: a jaw that's almost always clenched, shoulders creeping towards the ears, holding their breath without noticing. Sometimes it's only when their body begins to relax that they realise quite how much tension they've been carrying.
And often, nobody else knows. People living with chronic pain can become remarkably good at carrying on — working, socialising, doing the normal things — while quietly using far more energy than anyone around them realises.
“People with chronic pain tend to hide it pretty well. Most people probably don't realise how uncomfortable they feel, or how tired they get doing normal things.”
how i work
Gentle, straightforward, and no need to mask.
Nicola is calm, understanding and very down-to-earth. There's no expectation to make conversation, behave a certain way or hide what you're experiencing. For neurodivergent clients in particular, being able to stop masking for a while matters to her.
Her work focuses on gentle fascia massage rather than pushing a body that's already dealing with pain and tension. She pays particular attention to the nervous system, working gradually with the aim of encouraging more ease and movement while reducing some of the physical tension clients are carrying.
Some people notice they sleep better after an early session or experience a period of relief from aching. Over time, Nicola's focus is on helping the body move more comfortably and easing patterns such as jaw clenching, held breath and persistent muscular tension.
“I work gently with the body and nervous system. It's about encouraging movement and flexibility rather than forcing it.”
It's nice to meet you!
Sci-fi. Dog walks. Very clumsy.
Nicola found her specialism almost by accident. After training in sports massage, she noticed more and more autistic and ADHD clients, as well as people with fibromyalgia and ME, finding their way to her — which led her to learn more about fascia, chronic pain and neurodivergence. She also lives in a neurodivergent household, and away from work she's usually walking her dog, reading, watching science fiction, weightlifting, cooking or singing.
