“I want to help people move well, feel better and take time for themselves.”
WHO I help
Still getting through the day. Still carrying all that tension.
Pain that keeps coming back can take up more of the day than anyone else sees. Many of the adults Zoe works with have already tried ways to manage it, including pain relief, but haven’t found the relief they were looking for. Someone has suggested acupuncture, and they’re open to trying it.
Others come because stress and tension have become familiar companions, or because they want to set aside some time for a massage. Alongside Western acupuncture, Zoe offers Indian head massage and natural facelift massage. There’s room in her practice for people managing a particular concern and those simply wanting time to themselves.
She has a particular interest in stress and burnout among emergency service workers. Still working as a paramedic herself, she sees how demanding it can be to keep responding to other people’s needs. Her practice grew from wanting to support people before pain, stress and exhaustion become overwhelming.
“Working as a paramedic has shown me how much pain and stress can affect people’s everyday lives.”
how i work
Clinical knowledge. A calm welcome. Time to be heard.
Zoe brings the clinical knowledge of her paramedic work into a calm, welcoming treatment setting. Listening carefully matters to her. She wants each person to have her full attention and feel able to explain what’s been happening.
Treatment is tailored to the individual. That might involve Western acupuncture for someone seeking support with pain, or time set aside for Indian head massage or natural facelift massage. Her starting point is understanding what has brought someone in and what they want from the appointment.
Her aim is to help people move more comfortably and feel more like themselves. For some, the focus is a physical concern that has been affecting everyday life. For others, it’s the chance to slow down and give their own wellbeing some attention.
“I believe healthcare should be compassionate, evidence-informed, and centred around you.”
It's nice to meet you!
Always planning the next challenge. Absolutely no patience for sewing.
Paramedic work led Zoe to explore acupuncture and other therapies; outside work, time with her husband and children helps her switch off, while strength training and a recent return to running give her time to clear her head. Her friends would say she’s always planning her next challenge. Sewing defeats her patience, which she finds quite funny given that she works with needles.
